Knowstone Parish Plan

The Parish Plan was developed to enable the Parish Council to consult the community and identify the needs of the parishioners.

A questionnaire was put together by a steering group and distributed to all properties in the Parish in November 2004.

In addition to this a short questionnaire was distributed to all children between the ages of 5 and 16 years to obtain their views as potential future parishioners.

The return rate for completed questionnaires was 65%.

In April 2005 a public meeting was held - at this meeting the results of the completed questionnaires were publicised and an action plan was formed.

It is now 20 years since the parish plan was published and the Parish Council is likely to revisit key issues and determine how the Parish should approach planning for the next 5 to 10 year period.
