Update on sale of picnic sites

At the Knowstone Parish Council meeting last night the sale of the freehold interest of both picnic sites was discussed. Unfortunately our County Councillor did not attend the meeting so there remained plenty of unanswered questions for those parishioners who did attend. At the meeting the Parish Council was given information on potential people to contact for more information and to whom to pose a number of questions. Contact details will be circulated by the Parish Council on Facebook and on this website and it is important that if you have an opinion on the sale that you make yourself heard by contacting these people. Knowstone Parish Council were not made aware of the sale and all information ascertained to date has been discovered via Facebook and from seeing the notices on site.

It has been discovered that the notices announcing the disposal of the two sites was posted online on c. 20th / 21st February 2025 but the notices displayed at the picnic sites are undated which is an issue as no one knows when the two week period to respond to the site disposal officially started or finishes.

This is the public notice that can be found online. There is another one for the other picnic site.
