New Police Commissioner's Councillor Advocate
We now have a Police Commissioner Councillor Advocate in the parish after the Parish Council Chairman John Pomfret volunteered to take on the role. Please see his statement below which outlines the role and also provides useful information on how to contact the police.
Police Commissioner’s Councillor Advocate
I have volunteered to take on the role of Councillor Advocate for Knowstone.
The purpose of this role is to act as a conduit between the parishioners and the Police as required.
Having attended a briefing with other advocates, the Police and Crime Commissioner and Police representatives I was made aware of:
- There is now what the Police call “Single Online Home” at the website Police.uk
This allows you to contact the police, find information, get statistics regarding performance, and view crime data.
2. Also available is the police app for mobile phones
This allows contact to the police, performance statistics, information about this area and other things.
A suggested app for people to put onto their phones. Search for Police.uk app on goggle play or wherever you normally download apps from.
3. Calling 101 (for non-emergency calls) now has an option to request a callback.
