Swaling on the moors

Haresdown and Knowstone Moors Management Association intend to swale part of Inner and Outer Knowstone moors on Wednesday 10th February. This is in order to meet the environmental requirements of the HLES scheme which they have with Natural England and the RPA. The fire brigade will be informed prior to the burn taking place. The two areas specifically to be swaled are on Inner Knowstone moor (the small block opposite the Millennium Stone) and an area on Outer Knowstone moor in the vicinity of Little Oak and the ruins of Little Comfort Farm.
