Police appealing for witnesses to a motorcycle accident on B3227

Motorbike rider seriously injured

Police investigating a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the B3227, at Molland, near South Molton, on Tuesday 10 August, at around 3.05pm, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

The rider of the Moto Guzzi V11 motorcycle involved in the collision sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance for treatment.

Officers from the Alliance’s Roads Policing Team attended the scene and a full investigation took place and work to establish the cause of the collision is being carried out.

The road was reopened at around 7.10pm and the police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene. 

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information or dashcam footage which may have captured the vehicle prior to the collision that could help the investigation.
