Knit and Natter group have Nativity scenes all sewn up
At the beginning of 2019 a Knit and Natter group was formed in Roachill. One of the knitting challenges the intrepid group set themselves was to knit scenes from the Nativity. During one session Cath Morgans suggested that the knitted Nativity scenes should be displayed in St. Peter’s Church at the carol service. Although she did not get to see her wish realised, she did set the wheels in motion for this to happen and did see many of the knitted items before she passed away. The three knitted scenes were displayed in the Church and were much admired by visitors to the church. Well done to Elaine, Cath W and Jen for their amazing creations which can be seen in the photos below. We are all looking forward to seeing what the group can rustle up next!
